Nelson (D-Ne) still backs health reform
Source: Omaha World Herald

By Joseph Morton

WASHINGTON - While Democrats on Capitol Hill scramble to find a path forward on health care legislation, Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., said today that he continues to support the effort.

Nebraskans who already have health insurance face unsustainable increases in their premiums, while another 220,000 in the state have no insurance at all, Nelson said.

"I still support health reform that addresses those problems," Nelson said.

Nelson provided the crucial 60th vote to break a Republican filibuster of the Senate health care bill.

4. Michael Moore shows us the way

Posted on the DU yesterday: “The Democrats don’t have the guts. They don’t have the courage of their own convictions. They’re disgusting. I’m embarrassed,” Moore says. “I want really nothing to do with them. And if they don’t find their spine, well, they’re in for a huge surprise in November.”

Senator Nelson enjoyed an approval rating over 75% in this ultra conservative state until he voted yes on health care. It now hangs around 40%. He talks about the uninsured and gets crap for it on the DU. He is my Senator and I can take pride in saying so.

6. To the people of Nebraska: Get rid of this slimy SOB...
The country is waiting for you to act. If you really have to, elect a Repugnant to take his place. At least you know who and what he is.

Consider a LIBERAL woman to replace Nelson.
