Wolf Blitzer Apologizes For 'Dept. of Jihad' Text On CNN
Source: Huffington Post

CNN's Wolf Blitzer has apologized for using chyron text that seemed to question the loyalties of the Department of Justice.

On Thursday, CNN broadcast text that read "HAPPENING NOW, DEPARTMENT OF JIHAD?" and "Are Justice Department Lawyers Disloyal?" as part of its coverage of an ad by Liz Cheney that suggests that because the DOJ hired lawyers who have represented accused terrorists, the department is sympathetic to terrorists.

On Friday, Blitzer apologized for the graphic and called DOJ lawyers "patriotic."

1. Wolf, they name is whore.
If you were truly sorry, you would resign from the news (read: 'propoganda') business altogether.

29. my guess
My guess would be immediately after he performs seppuku on air.I'm sure Wolf imagines himself one of the leading lights among the villagers and those types don't feel they owe anybody anything.I'm sort of surprised he went this far.CNN got rid of Dobbs seems they quit too soon.If we'd be so lucky they'd downsize the wolf and immediately after him King the anchor of their morning news show.I get the impression they're turning into fux noise lite.

To compete you have to only be slightly better. It's the same thing that happened to CNBC. They used to have to compete with Bloomberg, now they compete with Fox Business. Competing with Fox was easier.

Every day Rupert Murdock gets up to make the world a little bit worse and get paid for it.

pamphlet writers - don't forget that - and after we hang a few of the seditionists, the rest will fall in line and publish only the news we feed them - the NYT even has a new motto ready - "All the News that's Shit to Print"

Anyway, the RWers have already worn out the First Amendment defense of their hate speakers (although they never seem to think much of the First Amendment when the truth is spoken).

40. To believe Print is different is to be an originalist on the US
Constitution. If you believe in a constitution that changes by other than amendment, the only logical conclusion is that thew founders would have included broadcast.

But even if the RW supremes hold otherwise, banning based on unfavorable political content is facist, period. Imagine what Bush could have done with that power.

15. No Conflict of interest at all
I fail to see how standing up for the constitution and insisting it be followed is any kind of conflict of interest. In seems it would make them very well suited to work in the DOJ after the Bush lawyers tried to nullify the laws of the land.

17. It's amusing to see--
For CNN to apologize, something has to be so outrageous that even Republicans denounce it. Then CNN will apologize. They measure their reporting by the standards of the majority of Republicans. They must believe we are a center-right country or something.
