Police Say Bomb Hits Pakistani City of Lahore
Police say a bomb has exploded in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore. Casualties are feared.

Police official Naveed Hassan says gunshots also were heard after the blast in the RA Bazaar, which lies in a neighborhood where several army and security agencies have facilities.

It's the second time this week that Lahore has been hit by an attack. The last one targeted a police interrogation facility, killing 13 people.

The attacks have shattered a period of relative calm in Pakistan, which has been battling al-Qaida and Taliban violence.

Two suicide bombers have killed at least 39 people in the Pakistani city of Lahore, police say.

One of the attack occurred in a market and the other in a busy residential area. The authorities say the bombers targeted military vehicles.

Six of the dead were army personnel. About 95 people were wounded.

There have been several attacks on Lahore in the past year. On Monday the Taliban destroyed a building used by intelligence services, killing 13.
