At the party's state convention, speeches target the growing 'tea party' sentiments against taxes, debt and welfare. 'We are now members of the Had Enough party,' Senate hopeful Carly Fiorina said.

Reporting from Santa Clara, Calif.
Some of the major Republicans vying to become California's next governor or U.S. senator have more money than others. Some are better known. Some are more in sync with their party's traditional views.

But what all five have in common as they look toward the June 8 primary is a determination to tap what they see as public fury over the failures of government.

1. If California votes Republican, they have not learned anything from the past 8 years.

Maybe they can put the whole state on ebay to meet payroll and Carly Fiorina can make the same mess in the public sector as she did in the private sector?

2. Looks like the plan is to channel St. Ronnie.
Without looking in the mirror.

If there are any Democrats left in CA, I'd suggest they focus their campaigns on the failures of corporations and the CEOs that run them... Y'know, I'm sure there's some kind of stats about how many jobs Carly sent overseas.

6. blah blah blah... like the GOP is in any way anti-government
After DHS and TSA, I really don't know how they can claim that with a straight face. Oh yeah, I remember how: They're politicians, so whatever comes out of their mouth is a bald-faced lie.

10. anti-tax = anti-government? Interesting.
It's all about the magic world of no taxes.... because they don't pay for anything anyway, right?

What a joke. Teabaggers..... looking to the government to get rid of the government!

We just had 8 years of a government that didn't rule and they hate the result! So more, please!

Good grief!

11. "Anti-government," my ass...
Where were these "anti-government" types when Bush lied us into war to the tune of over $2 trillion and over 1,000,000 dead? Where were these "anti-government" types when Bush handed out hundred$ of billion$ to his capitalist cronies on Wall Street and in the banking industry? I didn't hear a peep out of one of them!

But "no," mention public-financed health care and the "anti-government" types are in in force with their scripts provided to them by the health-insurance and pharma industries!

Fuck 'em! This "anti-government" whine is getting old and tiresome...
