Dem Leaders To Hold Presser To Unveil Final Bill

Hoping to build on the momentum generated by the release of the CBO score, House Dem leaders are set to hold a presser today at around noon to unveil the final bill, a leadership aide emails.

The bill will be posted online at around that time too.

I think we can expect the undecideds to start breaking one way or the other by late afternoon today, or possibly by tomorrow morning, if they want to digest the bill overnight. It will be quickly become clear which way they’re breaking.

Undecided Dems: Put up or shut up time.

3. Maybe not in this bill, but it looks like Obama will push for it in the future
Right now, he's trying to get something passed that still has some enormous changes.

6. The bill's over 1200 pages - and they are just now going to be reading it?

Why the hell aren't you people screaming that every member of the House needs to read the entire bill before voting and 3 days is not sufficient time before the planned vote?

Is this another Patriot Act moment about to take place, but hey, it's "our team" in charge now so it doesn't matter if the goal of the bill is to screw us out of real health care reform for possibly decades??

8. LOL! They have had months to read the bill...
this is the 'fix' or as the CBO has it titled, "HR4872, Reconciliation Bill of 2010", which is a whole 25 pages long, do you think they can manage to read that in three days? Well, they are repubs, so maybe not.

Let us know if it takes you three days to read it.

12. I'm not worried about the Pubs reading it. They are going to vote no, regardless of what it says
anyway. I am worried about the Democrats reading it.

You ever try to read a 2500 page piece of legislation, when you also have to cross reference other pieces of legislation?

I hope and imagine, though, that they get an executive summary with it.

9. It is a few changes. I don't think it will take that long to read it.

11. You have to read it together with the Senate Bill, the Internal Revnue Code, etc.
It's not like reading a novel.

10. The Bill is 158 pages
It is nothing more than a few fixes to the Seante Bill that passed in December with a Super Majority...
