McNerney a yes
Source: SFGate: Politics Blog

Rep. Jim McNerney, D-Pleasanton, has come off the fence on health care reform as Democrats move toward a decisive vote Sunday. McNerney has been hammered by Republicans in his swing district for kowtowing to House Speaker Pelosi and President Obama.

In a statement, he said he's been listening to his constituents for nine months in many public events and heard from thousands of people.

"I've heard from people denied health coverage for preexisting conditions like diabetes and allergies. I've met seniors who can't afford the monthly cost of prescription drugs. I've talked with small businesses owners who have been forced to lay off employees because of skyrocketing premiums. I've heard many heartbreaking stories about the struggle so many Americans face right now to afford health care and it is clear how badly our communities are in need of health care reform.

"I've carefully reviewed the proposal, read every page, and listened to all the input that the people I represent have offered. Throughout this process, I've stood up for reform that will lower costs, give families security and peace-of-mind, and make sure people can choose their doctor and care. When it comes to a vote, I will once again support reform.

8. Bye Bye Pombo
Edited on Sat Mar-20-10 05:14 PM by NBachers
I was just reflecting last night how glad I am to have Pombo out of this district. We've got to work hard to keep Jerry in office.

And let's not forget Charlie Brown, either.

9. McInerney is a squalid DiNO
who betrayed the moderates and progressives who put him in office four years ago. He deserves to be thrown out of office, no matter how he finally votes.
