8. So What, Doctor? He Is Traitorous, Self-Serving Pond Slime
A waste of good oxygen that could be sustaining any number of syphilis spirochetes, which on balance contribute much more good to the world than this wretch.

13. Don't Try To Rewrite History
Most House Democrats voted against the Iraq War Resolution. Look it up. Stupak needs to be ousted. The YUppers can do far better than the anal orifice known as Congressperson Stupak.

18. Are you a Fox News Correspondent?
House Democratic vote on IWR

Nays 126
Yays 82

If you are trying to indicate Stupak did something unusally brave, you are wrong. Stupak was among the majority of house democrats (126) that opposed the Bush war.

20. are you trying to put words in my mouth?
Edited on Sun Mar-21-10 06:49 PM by DrDan
The vote was 133-297. That means 133 voted Nay out of 430 votes. Of the 430 that voted, Stupak was 1 of 133 that voted Nay. Got it?

If you want to write your own post about Dem voting, feel free. To me - 133 out of 430 qualifies as "few".

Now take your personal insults elsewhere. No - I am not a fox news correspondent.

btw - any particular reason to hide your profile?

10. link:Anti-abortion Dems will vote for health bill
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35961584/ns/politics-health_care_reform/
House Democrats appeared to clinch the 216 votes necessary Sunday for passage of a landmark health care overhaul that promises to provide coverage to millions of uninsured Americans.

Passage of the legislation seemed assured when Democratic Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan announced that he will vote in favor of the health care overhaul, citing confidence that an executive order signed by the president will prevent federal funds from being used for abortion coverage.

"The real winner is the American people," Stupak said at a press conference to announce his intention to vote.

14. Live Blogging the House Vote
5:09 p.m. |Presidential Late Night TVThe White House says President Obama will speak from the East Room once the health care action tonight is over. Will that be midnight or later?

4:38 p.m. |The Lenten RealityMr. Stupak rejected Mr. Boehner’s contention that the executive order would not prohibit federal financing of abortions. The Michigan Democrat, a Catholic, also noted that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops still wanted statutory language barring the use of federal money for abortions. “I know it’s Lent,” he said, but added that even so the bishops could not supply the 60 votes needed in the Senate to approve such a law.

“This has the full force of law,” he said of the executive order.

16. Great! We wasted tons of time and caused a lot of grief so the president could say...
.... he's gonna do what it says in the bill he just signed into law anyway.
