Bachmann introduces bill to repeal health care reform
Source: CNN

Washington (CNN) – Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minnesota, has introduced a bill to repeal Democrats' health care reform legislation, her office announced Monday.

President Obama and Democrats in Congress "have ignored the will of the people and have chosen to ram through their trillion-dollar health care bill despite the American people's overwhelming objection to it," Bachmann said in a written statement.

Despite the long odds of repeal, several prominent Republicans - including former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and House Minority Whip Eric Cantor - have joined the chorus of those calling for the bill to be overturned.

Bachmann said "the American people won't ever forget the irresponsible actions of this Administration and Democratic Majority."

The quick vote that was between the Senate bill vote (219 passed) and the Reconciliation vote (220 passed) was the Repukes' attempt to scrap and start from scratch.

It failed. There were about 230 no votes.

They had a big write up about the two democrats who are going to run in the primary trying to get a chance to beat this idiot. I hope that which ever one gets the win who runs against her wins and she is out the door and forgotten by every one. Remember Katherine Harris, the nut who helped give bush Florida. Well after they used her she was pushed out the door. And has anybody heard anything from her in the last eight years.

And what polls are Bachmann and the republicans always referring to and are never called out on by the complacent corporate media as the republicans always use the lies that "the American people's overwhelming objection to health care reform"?

Complete bullshit!

Every major poll shows Americans are in favor of health care reform, especially the Public Option which consistently polls from 62% to 68% in favor of the Public Option!

And the Democrats will absolutely continue to hold majorities in in both Houses of congress after the November's elections!!

She can go back to doing some sort of family counseling with her hubby or something, perhaps. Minnesotans are tired of having a buffoon representing them, I'm pretty darned sure. I know I am, and I'll be precinct walking in her district soon, even though I don't live in it. Lots of others will be doing the same.

44. Vote Her Ass Out of Office
Is Michelle Bachmann the dumbest SOB going or what. Day after day she keeps inserting her foot in her mouth shortly after pulling her head out of her ass. Every day it's another bizarre charge or idea. Who the hell are the nitwits that voted her into office? That is my question. Are the people in her district in Minnesota that stupid. (Don't answer that!).

She should just go away. Unfortunately, the boys at Fixed Noise give her a forum to spew her shit. I'd love to see her go on a real news show where she would be challenged by someone instead of those nodding heads at Fox. When she says the American people are all against this where is she getting her facts? From Fox News!

Sure the numbers aren't highly popular, but remember, many of those disappointed are progressives who wanted more. It's not all those Tea Party schleps!

50. Repeat after me..."Michele Bachmann wants to RAISE TAXES"!
After all, in Republican orthodoxy, eliminating a tax cut or credit is the same as a tax hike. She wants to get rid of a LAW that gives credits now for Medicare Part D and in the future for Health Insurance. So, she wants to raise taxes on millions of Americans. That simple message shhould be in every campaign ad against her.

62. What a lunatic
President Obama and Democrats in Congress "have ignored the will of the people and have chosen to ram through their trillion-dollar health care bill despite the American people's overwhelming objection to it," Bachmann said in a written statement.

'Overwhelming objection' - then why did the Americans VOTE FOR a Democratic president and Congress? Seems like maybe that *was* the will of the people!

'Ram through a healthcare bill' - wow, yes, they only took a little more than 60 years to produce legislation that STILL doesn't go nearly as far as that in the UK or most countries in Europe. If that's 'ramming things through', then I've seen snails winning a sprint!

Who votes for her?
