(Betsy) Markey (CO-4) threatened amid health care vote

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A Colorado member of Congress has received threatening calls at her Washington office, according to NBC News. Rep. Betsy Markey's (D-Colorado) chief of staff confirmed her office had reported two separate incidents to the Capitol police and asked Fort Collins police to step up patrols around Markey's home and her district office.

Anne Caprara said the calls came on Saturday before the House cast its final vote on health care reform. She said in the first, the caller said to one of Markey's staff members, "better hope I don't run into you in a dark alley with a knife, a club or a gun."

In another instance, a caller said something like "better tell your boss that she better be careful when she comes back here to Colorado."

Markey was one of the Democrats who had voted against the original House health care reform bill last year before voting for changes to the Senate measure over the weekend. She is in her first term representing the 4th Congressional District in Colorado.

her supporters can get her back by picketing KOA and other RW radio stations in CO that are the HQs of the cowardly teabaggers.

their blowhard heroes can only make this crap acceptable because they get a free speech free ride- the left ignores them and they ought to be picketing those stations.

KFKA has two hours a week - that's TWO hours per week - that are not devoted to rightwingspeak. Lots of dittoheads and beckers to contend with. It can get pretty intense.

Denver-Boulder, David Sorota (Jay Marvin's old station). When I was OTR and spent much time in Northern Colorado/Cheyenne area, that was the only station I listened to. BTW, AM 760 and AM 850, KOA are owned by the same company Clear Channel.

7. i don't think it was coincidence that CO finally edged blue when 760 went progressive

for years there was no progressive in CO except maybe for KGNU FM in boulder.

KOA and all its sister stations is still the loud one, dominating politics in CO and reaching 38 states at night.
