Bombs kill more than 40 in Iraq as country awaits election results

Two bombs have killed at least 40 people in Iraq's northern Diyala province today as the country awaits the scheduled release of full preliminary parliamentary vote results, the Associated Press and Reuters report.

The AP quotes police as saying one explosion was from a car bomb and the second from a suicide bomb.
