Joe the Plumber Will Not Stump for McCain
Source: foxnews.com

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher, once a prominent face of John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign, said Sunday that he won't be stumping for the Arizona senator in his close race for reelection.

In an interview with FoxNews.com, Wurzelbacher said he was used as a "political tool" during McCain's presidential run and faulted the fourth-term senator for what he described as a weak stance on immigration and border security.

"It's supposed to be a closed border. Why don't you uphold the law instead of trying to change it?" he said. "McCain's been a senator for a long time and he's failed in his duties."

Wurzelbacher, who appeared at a tea party rally of 400 conservative activists in Phoenix on Sunday, said he won't be backing anyone in the Arizona senate race. "I don't want to cloud the issue and create a lot of drama," he said.

Yeah that jumped out at me also. Joe is a real joker it seems.
FWIW, I suspect that McCain doesn't want Joe the Plumber's Helper to campaign with him. Must be tough to realize that your 15 minutes of fame is up and you are still the same old asshole.

26. Meh. I think McCain wants any help he can get this time around.
To think:

McCain Palin got 59,934,814 votes to Obama Biden's 69,456,897 and carried 23 states. However, less than a year and a half later, the four-term incumbent and former Presidential candidate is having trouble winning the Republican Senatorial primary in his home state. Even McNuts is not nutty enough for his stae these days.

Depending upon how you look at, this is either very scary for the future of America, or great news for the Democratic Party (or both).

He enjoyed and exploited his 15 minutes of fame (more than he was entitled to) and now claims to have been used.

Sam the Unlicensed Contractor is definitely the whiny little "tool" he claims to be.

God, please just let that idiot fade into obscurity. he was a phoney dumb shit when he made his splash, and they played him out. It's sort of like mcAncient's POW status thing. Just leave it alone. Both are idiots in my book. I don't care what happened to him 50 years ago...he's a coward today.

32. Not too long after the election he started knocking McCain.
I wonder if he was on the receiving end of one of McCain's outbursts during the campaign and maybe that soured him? Who knows, but it seemed weird that he was so gung-ho and then abruptly changed his tune afterwards.

Personally I think he's doing a favor for McCain by dissing him like this, even though that's not his intent.
