A second explosion happened at the Park Kultury station, Russian news agency Tass reported.

Ten people were injured in the first blast, Tass said, quoting the emergencies ministry.

at Prospekt Mira station. Not confirmed.

Still no confirmation now, a bit later. Possibly a false alarm.

This report has now been denied by authorities, according to RT.

22. Separatists claim Russia rail blast
From: Al Jazeera English

Islamist separatists have claimed responsibility for the bombing of a Russian express train that killed 26 people and injured another 100, according to a letter posted on a Chechen website.

The statement, which KavkazCenter.com said it received from the Caucasian Mujahideen, claimed the attack was conducted on the orders of Russia's most wanted rebel leader.

"We declare that this operation was prepared and carried out ... pursuant to the order of the Emir of Caucasus Emirate Dokka Umarov," it said.

"These acts of sabotage will continue for as long as those occupying the Caucasus do not stop their policy of killing ordinary Muslims," the letter, posted on Wednesday, added.

Sorry a little off topic but Hitler's birthday is right around the corner. People in Oklahoma are very aware of this day with the bombing and all. I'm watching these tea bagger people on CNN and now militia I guess are getting arrested in several states and at least one is on the run I read from their forum. Does anyone else worry about these people?

49. Is Hitler's birthday celebrated in Russia?
I doubt if there's much of a cult following there, given the 25 million Russians killed in WW2.

But, when's his birthday, and when was OK bombing? Same day?

65. Not all of those 25 million were killed by Germans
Plenty of USSR residents were killed by Stalin's forces. German forces were actually viewed as liberators at one time or another in some of the old Soviet republics such as Estonia and Ukraine, and their supporters were sometimes executed as collaborators and are most likely included in that total.

32. Very sad!
The bombers show a complete disrespect for innocent people. Instead of going after some kind of military target, if that's what they were angry about, they go and kill people who are just on their way to work or somewhere else. For all they know, every person killed was sympathetic to their cause. This is a guaranteed way not to solve whatever problem you might have.

60. I could always tell the level of security alert by how the guards in the metro were dressed.
When they had their crash helmets and body armor on, you knew things were getting hot.

And as far as the pluto/bureaucrats driving, I always thought they had it all wrong -- I'd rather pay pennies to ride with the people on a metropolitan public treasure (which, IMO, both the Moscow and SPB metros are) than sit in traffic all morning.

56. For what i know about the situation in the Caucasus, this is not surprising
Russias behaviour in Chechnya and Ingushetia, and the other breakaway states in the North Caucusus region is nothing but state terrorism. I recently read a report saying that the pro-Russian regime is abducting people on a regular basis and keeping them in secret jails or executing them, this includes prominent independent journalists an the like. Putins ability to use the "terrorist" label has been a great excuse for other powers to look the other way while they are using terror tactics to intimidate an entire population constiting mostly of muslims.
And guess what, they are becoming more and more radicalized.
