Federal prosecutors have charged a Washington state man, Charles Wilson, with repeatedly making threatening calls to Sen. Patty Murray's district office, threatening to kill her because of her support for the health-care bill.

FBI agents say they arrested Wilson after getting telephone records and calling him to confirm that his voice matched the voice left on voice mail in Sen. Murray's office. Agents called, posing as opponents of the health-care bill, and engaged in a 14-minute conversation with him.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Seattle, 64-year-old Charles Alan Wilson was arrested Tuesday morning at his home in Selah.

Authorities allege that Wilson made a series of threatening phone calls to Murray's office between March 22nd and April 4th.

The criminal complaint says the calls were punctuated by expletives and threatened Murray's life. Wilson allegedly stated in one message that Murray "had a target on her back" and in another he said "I want to (expletive) kill you." The complaint also says Wilson discussed assisting others in an attempt to kill the senator.

Court documents say federal agents arrested Charles Alan Wilson in Yakima on Tuesday.

An FBI agent's probable cause statement says Murray's office in Seattle reported the threats, which were left on voice mail from a blocked telephone number. Agents say they traced the calls to Wilson's home in Selah, near Yakima.

Murray's office told the FBI that it had been receiving harassing messages from the caller for months, but they became more threatening as Congress was voting on health care legislation.

Patty Murray of Washington is the No. 4 Democrat in the Senate.
According to a criminal complaint, the man, Charles A. Wilson, 64, of Selah, Wash., made a series of threatening phone calls to Senator Murray’s Seattle office between March 22 — the day after Congress approved the health care law — and April 4, including a recorded message in which he said, “I want to kill you.”

He was charged with a single count of threatening a federal official, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Ms. Murray, the No. 4 Democrat in the Senate, is the highest-ranking woman in the majority leadership. In the days after passage of the legislation, a several lawmakers, mostly Democrats, reported receiving threats and also some incidents of vandalism at their offices.

I didn't hear Mika spend three hours on this topic on today's Morning Joe like she did last week when Eric Cantor received a death threat. Last week Mika was outraged, just shocked I tell ya at the hatred on the left. She tried to imply that the Cantor threat was worse than all the bricks, vandalism and harrassing phone calls by the rightwing fringe put together.
I bet this death threat doesn't get the airtime on the cable news shows that Cantor's threat did. I'll be surprised to see this anywhere on TV today.
It's so infuriating to watch the MSM cover every teabgger rally, every slight against a republican, every poll that shows Obama doing poorly with the intensity they do.
