Star Parker Is Running For Congress
Source: Right Wing Watch

In her latest column, Star Parker announced that she is running for Congress in order to fight this nation's slide into socialism:

I’ve often been approached to run for public office. However, I always deferred because I felt I could make the greatest difference delivering my message as a free agent, outside the formal structure of politics.

But things have changed and now I’ve decided to run.

We’ve totally reversed the direction we started in after we reformed welfare in 1996.

As I wrote a little over a year ago: “I thought we were on the road to moving socialism out of poor black communities and replacing it with wealth producing American capitalism. But, incredibly, we are going in the opposite direction. Instead of poor America on socialism becoming more like rich America on capitalism, rich America on capitalism is becoming like poor America on socialism.”

Parker has made some kooky claims in the past such as:
- Same-sex marriage leads to HIV
- Abortion clinics are to blame for the recession

Parker also claims to have turned her life around after being a single mom on welfare and having received a few abortions...like one of those "irresponsible liberal welfare queens".

Just some laughs in case you're having a sucky Monday.

1. Who the fuck is Star Parker
Too bad I haven't heard of her.

Three letters on the last name is easily changed.

3. The most bizarre of the "TV Republicans"
Edited on Mon Apr-12-10 11:19 AM by Doctor_J
Being a black republican is of course a guarantee of lifetime employment in Big Media. Discussing the fact that she is a welfare queen who hates welfare, and decries abortion though she had several, if off limits to any discussion. She was consigned to a life of poverty until she discovered that the way out of poverty to play a self-hating black on TV

5. She used to be on The View
other than that I have no idea what her 'claim to fame' would be.
I hope the hell she does not plan to move back to NC we don't want her here. If i recall correctly she was born and or grew up in some small NC town.

Looked at her wikipedia page....says she is running in Cal.

6. She only co-hosted The View once..
Star Jones was the "full-time" co-host on The View.

This nut-ball writes articles/columns for World Net Daily...aka World Nut Daily.

She's a total winger.

...it was long-time co-host of The View, Star Jones, who was from Badin. The nut-job in question is from Greenville South Carolina (surprise, surprise), my current State of residence...sigh.

2. Hopefully her opponent will drag this self-loathing skank through the mud
"Former Welfare Queen Star Parker" should be her only moniker from now until November

4. "...and abortion recipient."
Edited on Mon Apr-12-10 11:33 AM by EXneoCON
Don't forget that part.

BTW, I'm wondering if Star Parker (nee Larstella Irby) had not been able to procure those four Federally-funded abortions, whether she would have had the time, energy or commitment to become the darling of the NeoCon set? I'm all for self-improvement, but not at the expense of people that genuinely need a helping hand.

14. star parker had a young daughter
who committed suicide a few years ago--and i've always wondered why this was swept under the carpet and also---wonder what might have been behind the daughter's sadness and compulsion to commit to kill herself....

10. And I had thought we'd heard the last of her.
To me she will always be an unpleasant memory of the Gingrich years, not that there was any dearth of unlikeable RW figures then.

Perhaps she can get Orly Taitz to run up there and do some stumping for her.

12. Scott Brown grew up on welfare and, as he put it, ,"government cheese."
Guess it was strong cheese. He's pretty cheesey.

Love these folk who "lived off the system," then want to pull the bridge up after themselves so no one else can do the same.

Greedy, selfish hypocrites, they are.

16. The concept of a black republican is hilarious on its face
what with "Confederacy Month" and such. But when you look at folks like Affirmative Action beneficiary "Slappy" Thomas, and this welfare mom/serial fetus killer "Star" who now wants to outlaw abortion and end welfare, you think there must be a gold mine of psychopathy and self-loathing in there.
