BROOKLYN, Ohio - Outside Brooklyn’s Hugo Boss plant, there was another rally on Wednesday to get the plant open.

Union leaders met with Hugo Boss officials in an ongoing effort to keep hundreds of jobs in Northeast Ohio.

Hugo Boss released this statement Wednesday evening: Hugo Boss Cleveland and Workers United have finished today's bargaining session and anticipate returning to the table tomorrow evening with the guidance of the federal mediator. The bargaining teams exchanged proposals targeted at restarting the plant.

Workers at the plant and members of the union Workers United plan to hold a news conference on Friday to discuss the status of the negotiations.

Hugo Boss had previously announced its intent to close the facility in December, citing that the plant was not globally competitive. The worker's union disagrees.

Hugo Boss had set the shutdown date for April 27. Should the plant close, it would cost the city 375 jobs.
