GA Legislators try to join the AZ birther brigade
Edited on Thu Apr-22-10 08:15 AM by One of Many
Source: Atlanta Journal Constitution

"State Rep. Mark Hatfield (R-Waycross) has just introduced legislation that would require Barack Obama – should he run for re-election – to provide proof of his citizenship before being granted a spot on the 2012 Georgia presidential primary ballot."

"In addition to Hatfield, the resolution is sponsored by some of the most conservative Republicans in the House: Barry Loudermilk of Cassville; Steve Davis of McDonough; Charlice Byrd of Woodstock; Bobby Reese of Sugar Hill; Calvin Hill of Canton; Bobby Franklin of north Cobb County; and Jeff May of Monroe."

2. Looks like the membership list of the Georgia KKK.

What's so sad is these jerks will get more votes from their hatred for Obama. I watched Hatfield on the local news last night. He looks and talks exactly like one would expect.

3. Are these laws specific to Obama
or just about any pres candidate on a ballot? Just curious

God this is absurd. And for the true-nonbeliever birthers, no amount of evidence will suit them. I mean, they already must think that this has been planned since Obama's birth if the birth announcement in the Hawaii newspaper doesn't make a difference to them.

11. Must stop the black man from being president!
There are some very angry racists in the US right now. The good news is that they are in the minority and many of them are very very old.

7. Help I live here
The race war is on. Elect an African American and the country explodes with hate. It was always just underneath the surface. two things people can't control love and hate.

13. I think there is an air of desperation in the air...
These GOPer morons know Obama is still a major political force to reckoned with and will likely be reelected in 2012 and the only way they have a chance to win the WH back is to go after some desperate bizarre legality to keep him from even running again. Idiots. This kind of crazy shit does them more harm than good. Who on earth would want to associate with these lunatics?.. unless you are also a lunatic.

15. It is amazing how one Election 2008 attack point can go so far
I remember it started off as a garden variety attack point by Rush et al in the GOP Noise Machine during the 2008 election. This has taken on a life of its own. Even the top judicial post in the country, Chief Judge John Roberts, as far from a liberal possible himself, has no problem with Obama fulfilling the constitutional requirements to be President else he would not have sworn him in.

18. what would just stop them is to have a bunch of Hawaiins who were born
in the same year as Obama and would have the same birth certificates, all get on the ballot in those states and send in their birth certificates (which will be the exact same birth certificate) for examination.

This crap is just too easily shutdown. The birthers are definitely whacked.
