Toyota recalls 100,000 Corollas in Brazil - 8 million cars this year

TOYOTA is recalling 100,000 Corollas in Brazil because of accelerator problems, as safety woes continue to plague the giant Japanese carmaker.

Last week, Toyota recalled 870,000 minivans in the US. Just weeks before that, the Japanese car giant recalled 13,000 Lexus and Camrys in South Korea.

This year, Toyota has recalled more than eight million vehicles worldwide, mostly because of accelerator and brake problems which have been blamed for 58 deaths in the US.

In February, Toyota recalled 8000 Tacoma four-wheel drive trucks in the US.
