Cornyn to Crist: Give back GOP campaign cash
Source: USA Today

Texas Sen. John Cornyn, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, helped lure Florida Gov. Charlie Crist into this year's Senate race in the Sunshine State. But now that Crist reportedly will announce today that he'll make that run as an independent, Cornyn says he wants contributions he made from his leadership PAC back, and he says other Florida donors are seeking the same.

"I think in addition to seeing his coffers depleted" by refunding contributions, Cornyn says, "his ability to raise money as an independent will be dramatically down." Cornyn spoke at a breakfast with reporters hosted by The Christian Science Monitor. Crist is trailing in the Aug. 24 Republican primary to Marco Rubio.

Cornyn says he's been playing "phone tag" with Crist "and quite honestly I've given up" trying to talk to him. If he had reached him, Cornyn would have told him that dropping out of this year's Senate race with plans to run in 2012, when Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson's term is up, would be preferable, "because I think his future electoral prospects are irreparably damaged by his deciding to run as an independent."

5. Why is GOP money so much more important than US taxpayer money?
The GOP takes our money and blows it on illegal war based on lies and bogus bank bailouts, but just let a little of its money go to former Republican turned Independent and it goes bonkers!

Go f*ck yourself, Cornyn! I want my money back!

9. This looks so cheap on Cornyn's part. It is often better to look
gracious, than petty. Of course the GOP and their "money",
what more can one expect.

10. For once, the GOP is kind of cash-strapped
They're enjoying a fundraising advantage of only 2-1 over the Democrats, instead of their standard 4-1 advantage. That means Republicans have been having to decide on who to fund (who has a chance of breaking through) and who's safe and doesn't need the money (but those incumbents don't like the perceived loss of status in not getting the big money from the party). They're also having to budget the money they do spend, and that's not a real strong suit for Republicans. It means targeted ad buys instead of just buying up all the air time for a blitz message. Again, not really something Republicans are good at. And as for campaign workers? Well, Democrats and their supporters are used to volunteering or getting little pay for long hours. Republicans, not so much.

So you can see why Cornyn is trying to claw back every nickel he can.

I refuse to buy that piece of trash. I have worked diligently to get him fired, just as I have Pete Sessions and Kay Bailey.

14. He'd have trouble finding it
since I'm a lady and a delicate flower, I might add.
I hope someone slams his dick in the stall door a few times.
They'd need tweezers to hold it steady.

25. As if!
I was once told to stay in my room until I could act right. When mom came to check on me to see if I could act right I said, "To be....or not to be. That is the question." Then I asked how I did. I had to stay in my room.
