BBC NewsUS-based United Airlines and Continental Airlines have agreed a deal to merge, creating the world's biggest carrier.
The company said it expected the deal, worth $3.2bn (£2.1bn) to deliver savings of more than $1bn a year.
The combined group will be named United Airlines, with new branding combining the current Continental colours with the United Airlines name.

You know, 20years from now i would'nt be surprised if there were only 1-3 corporations providing services in each sector globally, confusing consumers with branding to give the impression that we have a choice.
