Unruly Passenger Claimed to be an Alien, Wanted to Fly the Plane

A Skywest Airlines flight headed from Helena, Montana to Salt Lake City had to be diverted to Idaho Falls Sunday night.
Idaho Falls Police say an unruly passenger was banging on the cockpit door forcing pilots to make the unscheduled landing just before 6:00 p.m.

Sgt. Phil Grimes says other passengers on the flight helped restrain Matthew Kleindorfer, 32, who told flight attendants he was a space alien and wanted to fly the plane.
Kleindorfer is a Las Vegas resident and was making the flight to Salt Lake City with a friend. That friend told police he slept through the incident.
Kleindorfer has been charged with disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and battery on an officer.
