AG Sends Justice Officials To Oil Spill (Fox, sorry)
Source: Fox

NewsCore) - Attorney General Eric Holder on Sunday said he had dispatched Justice Department officials to the Gulf Coast to determine whether there had been any "misfeasance" or "malfeasance" related to the leaking oil rig off the Gulf of Mexico.

Holder, speaking on ABC's "This Week," said he sent the officials to the area to advise him on "what our options are." He said the government's primary focus was on preventing the leaking oil from devastating the coast when it reaches land.

Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen, who is leading U.S. government efforts to tackle the disaster, called it "maddening" that efforts by BP so far to stop the leak have failed. BP tried to lower a containment box over the leaking pipe over the weekend, but that effort has so far not been successful.

2. Me Too
I heard somewhere that the survivors were kept on board the rescue ship by BP officials with their horde of "lawyers" and weren't released to get medical attention until they signed "CONfidentiality statements" saying they wouldn't "spill the beans" about what actually happened. Again, we're either a nation of laws or we aren't. This will be a real test

3. They don't need to send anybody to determine if there was malfeasance -
There was.

So just concentrate on prosecuting everyone involved -- to the fullest and then some.

4. This is why Holder and other organization leaders have to walk
a fine line. Remember Faux and others tried to push the government didn't act fast enough when all of this started.

Holder has no choice but to send folks down because if he didn't they would say he wasn't acting......it's too damn bad they have to deal with this shit.

"government's primary focus was on preventing the leaking oil from devastating the coast when it reaches land."

I believe that call this an oxymoron.

"misfeasance" or "malfeasance" related to the leaking oil rig off the Gulf of Mexico."

Oh whose part? And kinda late to the party considering when they filed for permits that's when the crime occurred, just a matter of who and how many were involved.

6. Hang 'em all
but let's not forget the Congressman who allowed them to continue to function after killing people in TX City and the OSHA fines last year.

As for Holder's lawyers, what can they possibly do down there other than suck up mire tax dollars. this move is a joke - an attempt to look good with NO benefit. They don;t even know what happene yet, how will the prosecute anyone ?
