At least 25 killed in Iraq bombing
Source: CNN

At least 25 people were killed and 100 were wounded in a double suicide bombing in the northern Iraqi city of Tal Afar on Friday, an Interior Ministry official said.

A suicide car bomber detonated explosives at a stadium where people had gathered to watch a football match Friday evening. Moments later, a second bomber struck the stadium on foot.

Tal Afar is an ethnically mixed city about 420 kilometers (260 miles) northwest of Baghdad.

The stadium attack followed a spate of violence across Iraq on Monday that claimed 85 lives and injured nearly 300, making it the nation's deadliest day so far this year.

Attacks were launched in six provinces, including Basra, Wasit and Babil - which tend to be less violent than others - in violence reminiscent of what was typical during the height of the sectarian war.

6. Actually it's because
it's Iraqi's killing Iraqi's that nobody cares. If it were American military, we'd hear plenty about it.

2. Things seem to be falling apart in Iraq.
Or is this just post-election jockeying?

3. Possibly.
Or possibly just more of the intimidation campaign that groups have run trying to gain submission.

You can't very well command the right and prohibit what you don't like (I'm sorry, "the wrong") if they don't submit. After all, submission is the name of the game.

Or, as I point out to those who say that "Islam" means or at least contains the Arabic word for "peace," "pacification" means "peace" or at least contains the Latin word for "peace."

5. Good thing the USA invaded, eh?
.
.
.

Things are going along swimmingly

well

The USA managed to build a billion dollar fortress there,

and slaughter over half a million Iraqis

whats a few dozen extra here and there?

And the USA wonders why the East hates the West?

:freak:

7. So it's time to re-invade Iraq to prevent Iraqis from killing Iraqis.
Edited on Fri May-14-10 06:08 PM by Amonester
Only outsiders have the right to kill Iraqis.

Who should be hung next??

:sarcasm:

Is there something in this world that we're good at (other than making billionaires wealthier by murdering millions of innocent human beings and polluting oceans)?
