Obama to nominate FBI deputy director to head TSA

WASHINGTON, May 17 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Monday he would nominate John Pistole, who is currently deputy director of the FBI, to lead the Transportation Security Administration.

Pistole has held his current position since October 2004 and previously worked in the FBI's Counterterrorism Division.

The TSA is part of the Department of Homeland Security and Pistole would be an assistant secretary in that department.

This is getting really old. And is no longer defensible. The bipartisanship didn't work so we try again? Isn't that the definition of insanity? It really makes me nervous that someone who was trained and geared up by the Bush team on counterterrorism is doing this job. And NO, I do NOT trust this choice.
