US missionary convicted in Haiti, but free to go

A Haitian court has convicted American missionary Laura Silsby of arranging to transport 33 children out of the country following the Jan. 12 earthquake.

But the judge has sentenced her to time served in jail and she is free to leave the country.

The Idaho woman got the good news during a court hearing Monday.

The 40-year-old has been in custody since Jan. 29.
