You must think about a claim and its supporting evidence to accept it, however "faith" specifically implies that the foundation for the claim has no evidence to support it. To have faith you have to think even less than to have a belief based on evidence. Relying even more on "when someone else does the thinking", you just have to accept the scripture/anecdotes. I find it disturbing just how far you've flipped it on its head.

The oil has been picked up by the loop current, it heads roughly S or SSE at that point. It would take several days straight of strong SW or W winds to drive the oil to Tampa Bay, and that isn't likely to happen this time of year. More likely, is that the Loop Current continues to carry the oil to the Gulf Stream, where prevailing easterly winds will deposit it on the Upper Keys and SE Florida from Miami to Palm Beach.

one ended up on a beach in Jacksonville the other went in the St. Lucie Inlet near Stuart, FL. Areas further north than Palm Beach WILL be affected.
