Landis Admits Drug Use, Claims Armstrong Used
Edited on Thu May-20-10 05:37 AM by Stuart G
Source: MSNBC, NBCSports.com news services

Floyd Landis, the only cyclist to lose his Tour de France title due to doping violations, admitted to ESPN.com and The Wall Street Journal that he used performance enhancing drugs throughout his career.

He also claims several other cyclists — including former teammate and seven-time Tour De France champion Lance Armstrong — used performance enhancing drugs and that team managers, owners all knew of the drug use.

Armstrong did not respond to messages seeking comment from the Journal. He has been accused of doping several times during his career, which has always denied. Armstrong also has never been sanctioned.

2. Damn! I actually believed in his innocence.
Well, at least now I don't feel guilty about not contributing to his legal challenge after being stripped of his TDF title.

The movie "Breaking Away" had it right. Everybody cheats.

4. There will be no lawsuits.
That would entail discovery, and I doubt anyone wants to go through that.

7. Hmm please explain.
I am assuming the guy has to have the evidence already to have a leg to stand on but then I could very well be wrong since I am after all not a lawyer :)

5. Why can't anyone take responsibility for their own action? Why must they always try to
take others down with them? Hey did anyone force you to take them? If not just man up, let the others rise or fall on their own.He sounds like such a republican!

8. If he's telling the truth, I'd rather hear it than not hear it. Proof or no proof.
He isn't in the position to gather proof of this anymore, anyway.
