Rocket attack kills 3 civilians, wounds 2 children in E. Afghanistan

KHOST, Afghanistan, May 20 (Xinhua) -- A rocket fired by militants hit residential area in Waza Zadran district of Afghanistan's eastern Paktia province Thursday, killing three civilians and injuring two children, a health official in the neighboring Khost province said.

"A rocket hit a house in Waza Zadran district at noon time today, as a result three civilians were killed and two children were injured," Zahid Malyar, deputy to provincial health department in Khost city, the capital of Khost province, told Xinhua.

Malyar said that the injured children including a girl had been taken to Khost hospital for treatment.
