New Vienna, OH tied to shootings in West Memphis, AR
Edited on Fri May-21-10 01:05 AM by 1mookie
Source: CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)

New Vienna, Ohio was the home of the Jesus Christ Christian Church, led by a self proclaimed white supremacist, the Aryan Nation Church and its leader Ray Redfairn, made headlines 13 years ago.

The van involved in Thursday's shooting in West Memphis, AR, was registered to the House Of God's Prayer, and that address is 143 West Main Street in New Vienna. Clinton County, OH records show the New Vienna property is owned by something called The Universal Life Of The Good Shepherd Church. It has an address 50 miles away in Middletown, OH.

Butler County records show the Middletown property is owned by Hoge and Mary Tabor. A man named Hoge Tabor is prominently mentioned in a book about the Aryan Nation in Ohio. Tabor told FOX19 on the phone that he indeed owns the New Vienna property, but then hung up the phone.

2. Thanks-
I haven't gone anywhere. I only pipe up when I think I can add something new. Thanks for the welcome though. This story could have legs that extend beyond the tragedy of the murders.

Van driven by shooting suspects with Ohio license plate MEMPHIS, TN – We've learned the gunmen connected to the Walmart shootout that killed two West Memphis police Thursday drove a van that's registered to an alleged church in Ohio. According to records with the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles, the plates on the gunmen’s van are registered to “House of God’s Prayer” in New Vienna, Ohio. That church was once affiliated with Harold Ray Redfeairn, a white supremacist preacher who died in 2003. Redfeairn was a leader of the Aryan Nation. He was also convicted of trying to kill a cop a 1979, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups across the country. The Center said Redfeairn was sentenced to four consecutive seven-year minimum terms for attempted aggravated murder, but was paroled in 1991.

It cannot be proven the gunmen were tied to the Aryan group, but the van used by the suspects in this shootout was never reported stolen. The vehicle’s plates were renewed last summer, and set to expire next month.

9. a bit more at this blog: ARKANSAS POLICE OFFICERS SHOT; POSSIBLE OHIO ARYAN NATION CONNECTION
ARKANSAS POLICE OFFICERS SHOT; POSSIBLE OHIO ARYAN NATION CONNECTION
Friday, 21 May 2010 04:16 OPP HQ One month before an Ohio contingent of Aryan Nations is set to march in Gettysburg Memorial Park, we get this news: a shootout in Arkansas ends with West Memphis Police Officers Brandon Paudert and Bill Evans dead and policelearning that the van in this picture was registered to an Aryan Nations associate. The WPs over at Stormfront are doing as much as they can to distance themselves from the shooting and the persons involved. They are even trying to suggest that there is no way Aryan Nations could be involved as Aryan Nations went belly up ten years ago. But even if those involved with this shooting are not tight with the Aryan Nations crew from Chillicothe, Ohio, the group doing Gettysburg on June 19, the Aryan Nations people in question still were active last time we checked. The name "Hoge Tabor" is coming up in relation to this shooting. Hoge might be sweating a few bullets right about now because there are pics somewhere about of Hoge hanging out with a few people in a hotel room after some WP meeting in Ohio, among them not only Aryan Nations leaders like the late Ray Redfeairn who died in 2003, but also White Power radio host, Sean Hannity friend and FBI Informant Hal Turner. Even more curious, the New Vienna church this van is connected to is the same one that the infamous Kehoe Brothers were coming from when they got into a shootout with a police officer in '97 (video after the jump). This story is still developing, so there will definitely be more. But sadly, we have to chalk this up to yet another example of the domestic terrorism that conservatives ran defense for when Janet Napolitano and Eric Holder called attention to it last year. Food for thought.

10. Meth runners
Got popped by West Memphis PD. They were going to be in alot worse trouble with the Aryans so they tried to shoot their way past the two victims.

Had an old friend that ran drugs for a OMG, he got caught. The OMG wanted their money. He was found a few weeks later after he hung himself off the side of a road.

There are worse things than being caught. Being in prison and owing ALOT of money to an gang.
Doubt they were cop hunting.
Just a 'speculation.'

Looks like the cops doing drug interdiction just got incredibly unlucky and pulled over some armed Nazis instead.

This kind of activity doesn't surprise me. New Vienna is on the fringe of Cincinnati, which is some of the biggest redneck country in the U.S.

14. There is a book written about this church
It's called Into the Devil's Den about an FBI informant who managed to infiltrate this Arayan Nation's group. Their church/group leader Ray Redfeairn had several run ins with police, in one incident he shot the officer several times during a traffic stop and served some time in prison. The church closed years back, and Ray Redfeairn died in 2003 - but the man who currently owns the church property, Hoge Tabor, was also mentioned in the book and was a member of the Aryan Nations group. One news story I read in an Ohio paper said that a reporter called Hoge, who confirmed he owned the property but refused to answer any other questions.

Sounds like there may be more to this story that we haven't heard yet, guess we'll have to wait and see - they are being tight lipped about the investigation. They won't release the names of the perpetrators, or even give their race.

17. Look at this vile stuff from one of the shooters.
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/category/individuals/jerry-kane

"The cult of personality and hysteria for a charismatic orator are frightening parallels between Obama and Hitler. Like Hitler, Obama too is a phenomenal political figure, extraordinary in American politics. No American politician has made such an impression on Americans. He receives excessive admiration and adoration from his admirers reminiscent of hero worship but with a messianic twist … Commentators do not say Obama is Hitler, but they do suggest that a dictator can rise in America and bring about a totalitarian state. For that reason, when the leader of the free world possesses a charismatic personality, comes from a socialist background, holds to a progressive worldview, rises to prominence through grandiose speeches, is hailed as the nation's savior by the masses, is admired by leaders throughout the world, and is elevated to the role of messiah by worshipful followers, it is both reasonable and necessary to wave red flags and sound alarms."

24. More Obama-era right-wing violence.
- February: Suicide plane crash in Austin, Texas IRS building
- March: Pentagon Police shooting; two officers wounded, perpetrator died
- May: Two cops killed by white supremacists

This incident oughta shut up the defenders of racial profiling. People of every ethnicity are capable of committing heinous acts like this. Think about it the next time you hear people complaining about the "Justice for Oscar Grant" crowd or saying "Stop being PC and open your mind; race does affect behavior".

27. One MSM CBS has picked up the story
Edited on Fri May-21-10 07:04 PM by RamboLiberal
While ties to the church are still being investigated, CBS affiliate WREG has found links to something a bit less familiar, that this man and his son may have had ties to a fringe sovereignty movement. Jerry Kane and his son apparently traveled the country giving seminars with Jerry in a revivalist preacher-style white suit, offering to help people who were having trouble paying their mortgage.

But law enforcement investigators say the pitch offered by Kane and his colleagues was likely a scam, one that ended up costing frightened homeowners more than just their houses. According to the Anti-Defamation League, Kane specialized in "Redemption," a sovereign citizen "theory" that applied special formulas promising to resolve financial problems for people.

One of Kane’s colleagues, Karen Taggert, has been accused in several states of pretending to do mortgage rescues while in reality doing nothing more than telling homeowners she will take care of their foreclosure and then proceeding to print a false deed which is filed under the name of a made up company or corporation.

She would then, investigators say, rent the home back to the owners or sell it to them at a reduced price. Needless to say when the bank or mortgage company catches up to the scam, Taggert and her team are, law enforcement says, long gone.

Members of these sovereignty factions encompass people from all races and all walks of life. What they have in common is a firm belief that government has no hold on them. As their own entities, members determine their own value in society. Some even file legal papers declaring their value to be millions of dollars. Since they don’t believe in the government, who is there to challenge them?
