Reid Neck-and-Neck With GOP Challengers
Source: The Atlantic

Things are looking better for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. As The Hotline's Steven Shepard points out, Reid is within the margin of error of his GOP opponents in a new Mason-Dixon poll:
He trails Lowden (42-39%) and Tarkanian (42-41%), but he leads Angle, 42-39%. In mid-April, he trailed Lowden, 47-37%, and he trailed Tarkanian by 11 points the last time the two were matched up head-to-head, in late Feb.

Reid has trailed Republicans consistently; now, with the ascent of Tea Party-backed Sharron Angle (whom Reid prefers to run against) in the GOP primary, Reid is within striking distance.

2. Reid
I'm no friend of the GOP, but when it comes to Harry Reid... I kinda wish he will lose so the Dems can install a new Leader. Reid has not shown real leadership -- even in the context of a two-house signifiant majority after an historic presidential election. Good riddance.

4. While Reid has been a less-than-ideal leader (to be polite),
I'd hate to see the Chicken Lady in the Senate. For sheer idiocy, isn't Michelle Bachmann in the House enough?

3. Things have actually really started to swing the Democrats' way.
People have to remember that if we lose 20 House seats and 3-4 Senate seats that is a win because we keep our majorities. It is not necessarily a loss to lose seats.

11. That's an incorrect analysis.
Let's use a more extreme example for a moment. If the Democrats had 400 seats and came back with 390 seats, would you say that they lost that election? I would maintain that they came back with a majority so they won.

In British parliamentary elections, you are deemed to have won if you are returned with a majority, regardless of whether or not it increased.

Same goes here. If the Democrats come back with 235, that's a win because they won a majority.

7. This is good news? I'd sacrifice a seat for a leader with balls.
