Brain Dead Man Demonstrates Need For Immigration Reform

Immigrants rights activists say the story of a man who lies brain dead in a San Diego hospital is another example of why the nation's immigration system must change.

Forty-two-year-old Anastasio Hernandez and his brother crossed the border illegally Friday night and got caught.

Anastasio's family says he'd been deported a few days earlier and was desperate to get back to his wife and five children in Encanto. He's lived there since he crossed the border illegally to work 26 years ago.

Federal border officials say Anastasio became out of control Friday as they processed him for deportation.

Officials say they Tasered him. Now his family must decide when to cut off life support.

Those who like to propose such a false dichotomy do so for a reason. It's a typical tactic for trying to cast doubt on a position. Consider a position on its own merits, not whether you have put it in a category that you have predefined in order to add a connotation.

If a taser can cause that kind of damage they need to fix the tasers.

No information is given in this article about why exactly he was tasered. Police are justified in using tasers in certain circumstances. This could be one.

14. Is this LBN or flame bait? There are millions of personal stories like this

though not this tragic, of illegal immigrants wanting a better life. This boy came here for work when he was 16. Why did he never apply for citizenship? How did he miss the Reagan amnesty? Was he the first illegal immigrant after the amnesty? Then, to end the story with the tragedy of a taser incident.

We'll have stories like this daily, hourly, as there are a plethora. My question is, is this really LBN?

He probably was in the process since he had an 18 year old daughter who might be a US citizen but he was deported for a second time then he could be banned from entering the US for the rest of his life.
