GM issues major recall
Source: Examiner

General Motors Co. announced Tuesday it is recalling 1.5 million vehicles due to a heated washer fluid system issue that could pose as a fire risk.

The automaker plans to disable the feature in order to eliminate the risk. The issue is related to a module in the system that has been reported as overheating.

GM car and truck models from 2006 to 2009 are affected by the recall.

1. GM needs to fix this, not disable a system that a buyer paid good money for.

2. They're apparently going to pay $100 to the owners as compensation for loss of the feature. (NT)

3. I think disabling it is better than fixing it.
Heated windshield washer fluid? That just goes to show what sort of brilliant engineering decisions get made at a car company about to go under.

4. The washer fluid in my car always seems to be hot after its been running
I always figured it was just engine heat that did it, maybe these are more common than seems to be?
