Quality Of Defense At Issue In Fatal Toyota Crash (Koua Fong Lee)

Reporting James Schugel ST. PAUL (WCCO) ―

Koua Fong Lee is serving an eight-year prison sentence for the 2006 crash that killed three people. Lee insists he tried to stop his 1996 Toyota Camry.

1. As someone who experienced sudden acceleration w/ my Ford Van

Just this spring, I feel for the guy.

The only thing that saved me from being in this man's shoes was that it happened to me at a point in my day trip that I was surrounded by miles and miles of empty miles.

Had it occurred forty minutes later, when I would have been driving around in a busy downtown area, I too could be sitting in jail for shortening the lives of several people.

Here is hoping he gets a new trial.
