House rejects lame duck measure
Source: CNN

The House of Representatives has rejected a GOP measure that would have prevented the chamber from meeting in a lame duck session after this year's November midterm elections.

Key Republicans believe Democrats may attempt to use such a session to advance controversial legislation - an idea publicly rejected by Democratic leaders.

Pelosi already promised an up or down vote (no debate that might alert the "little people" to what they're up to) on the Catfood Commissions recommendations during the lame duck session.

Personally, I think they should have their salaries cut in half just for putting this garbage up for a vote.

Wow. what a relief it is to know that.....NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!


Last night Rachel Maddow had a whole list of things that Bush and his colleagues did during his Lame Duck sessions..including the creation of DHS and an unannounced, last-minute move to nominate John Bolton as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. In 1998, despite a consistent lack of public support for the effort, both McConnell and Boehner supported the impeachment of President Bill Clinton during a lame duck session.
