Levi Johnston seeks Sarah Palin's old job in Wasilla
Source: BBC

Days after announcing another split with fiance Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston has declared his intention to run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

Sarah Palin, Bristol's mother, was Wasilla's mayor for six years before becoming Alaska's governor.

Variety magazine reports that Mr Johnston's talent agency is pitching a reality show based on his campaign.

A pilot for the show, tentatively titled "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office", is in production.

Mr Johnston, who has not yet finished high school, told Variety that he "wasn't thrilled" about the prospect of running for mayor at first, but now says it is "something I want to do".

8. If he's smart he would eliminate every possible mention of Palin in Wasilla.
And in the case of some projects that were built by Palin rename it the Palin Fiasco Scandal Sports Complex.

Rename some streets especially where she lives.

Formally, call the sales tax increase she passed the Palin Screw Wasilla Tax.

17. Why not? Sarah Palin is proof that anyone can be mayor of
Wasilla. He's probably more intelligent than her anyway and won't need a Business Manager to run the town.

18. Levi Johnston for mayor
Frankly, I think he should run as Shallow Sarah, the Failin Palin's V.P. when the tea pot party gets her nominated.

Maybe that way he can keep his Johnston in his Levis....

Keeps me up at nights...

Seriously, my lady reads that damned "People" magazine (yeah, it drives me nuts, but she feels the same way about my microbrew obsession) and it's chock full of tripe like this. Bread and circuses.

looking for Joy Behar (I really like her) and La Lohan was the big issue with Nancy Grace, so you couldn't miss the ads for the NG show and not know about that twerp.

I try to get my dose of pop crap by reading the headlines while in the grocery line. If the line is short...well I miss stuff!

Microbrews, eh?

Got any NY tips. We travel there a lot and like to go to brew pubs (up and out state, not NYC).

In Wisconsin, if you ever visit, I recommend Mineral Point (the town) and stay at the Brewery Creek Inn and Brewpub. He has done some really good stuff!

40. Yeah, I get a bit of pop culture from the checkout line, as well
One of the truly great breweries is Southern Tier, located south of Buffalo. Unfortunately, they have lousy distribution in the NYC area and surrounding counties, but they're not terribly hard to find out in Western NY, and even PA and OH. Do try their IPA, and if you are a real hophead, their Unearthly on tap is not to be missed!

Good suggestion on Brewery Creek, someday I will make it back to Wisconsin, haven't been there since about 1968, and I was way too young to drink at that time!

Haven't heard that descriptor before for the Palin horde. I've been partial to the commonly used 'Grifters,' but Carnies might be a better word.

Not just grifters, but traveling performing grifters.

Nice.

You can go to grad school, major in Public Administration, intern somewhere and actually serve your town in a positive informed way. I dare you.
