'British spy' found dead in bath
Source: The Guardian

Police were last night investigating the murder of a man whose body was found stuffed in a sports bag in the bath of his London flat.

The man, who was in his early 30s, is believed to have worked for the government's intelligence agencies. An unconfirmed report suggested he had worked at GCHQ, the government's secret listening service, and had been on secondment to MI6, the secret intelligence service, when he disappeared up to 10 days ago.

Police found his body on Monday afternoon when they were called to his flat in Pimlico following reports that he had not been seen for some time. Inside the property, officers found the man's mobile phone and collection of sim cards laid out, the Daily Mail reported.

Might I take one in a duffel bag? Or is a golf bag de rigueur ?

12. Can Sporty Spice account for her whereabouts?
She's probably got quite a lot of spare sports bags laying about she might've used.

6. I caught that too.
And the article goes on to say:
But a police source stressed that he had not been formally identified, and that while the man's employment documentation suggested he had indeed worked for the secret service, "he might have been an air conditioning technician rather than a spy".

"If he really was a spy, you imagine someone would have reported him missing rather sooner," the source added.

Let me think about that.

9. BBC: Man found at MI6 London flat 'dead two weeks'
A man whose body was found in a bag at the home of a missing MI6 worker in central London may have been murdered two weeks ago, police believe.

The discovery was made in top-floor flat at Alderney Street, Pimlico, on Monday afternoon.

Police broke into the property after his work colleagues said he had not been seen "for some time".

A government spokesman said it did not discuss individuals working for the intelligence agencies.

Officers discovered a mobile phone and several mobile phone SIM cards laid out at the flat.

21. I always think of a few gay men who were stabbed to death in my neighborhood.
A young man murdered in his apartment. Reminds me of this guy who was a acquaintance of mine:

20. Most understated headline ever!
Editor 1: "Well, he was stabbed. Then stuffed in a sack. Then dumped in a bathtub."
Editor 2: "Clearly the 'bathtub' aspect is the most important. We should run with that."
