1. Carnahan has already stated she wants the bush tax cuts to be kept in place

7. You do realize that given the likely number of Democrats, there is a remote
possibility that the majority could be lost. I actually do not think that will happen, put if the number goes down, if things turn worse, we could end up with a Republican President, House and Senate in 2012. It is always better to have a Democrat for the 6 year term.

11. yes, it is better
Lincoln does vote with the Democrats most of the time. There would still be the need to get 60 votes - and if Lincoln is now the one weakening them down, without her - we need to pull in someone further to the right.

9. This is good news
If we can make this competitive and force the GOP to spend a bunch of money to defend it, that could end up effecting other races. Also if she wins, that would be a huge loss for the repubs and would take away any shot of taking the senate.
