'White Power' Sprayed On Vandalized Sedan In Frederick County (Md.)

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is looking into a hate crime. A male victim's car was vandalized Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, on Gambrill Park Rd., between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The car was parked near Fishing Creek Road.

Police say the male victim came back from biking and found his four-door Infiniti Sedan damaged. Someone spray painted the words, 'White Power' on it along with the swastika sign.

Police are labeling the crime as a "racial/religious property crime.' The misdemeanor offense carries a $5000 and/or 3 years imprisonment.

... Police are not releasing the race of the male victim.

Gambrill is a beautiful park that I often visited as a child. The Appalachian Trail used to run through it, though it may have since been rerouted. To think that thugs have free reign to bully people who visit the park turns my stomach. :grr:

4. I suppose if they act this stupid and it gets into the media, then

they are going to reveal themselves for who they are to all the young and impressionable people who despise racism and hatred. It's not the easy way for Americans to learn right from wrong, but if it comes down to it, seeing the consequences of these fools may be the only way left. I wish there were an easier path but some people will live their whole lives inflamed with hatred, never really knowing why. And we either stay quiet about it or keep speaking out against it.

5. Those counties in the Maryland panhandle

are practically all republican. I don't know why but they always vote republican. The Democratic representative votes all the republican lines also. I suppose they ran as republican as a Democrat to make sure they had a representative, cause a real Democrat wouldn't have a chance in that area. Maybe that's why they are republicans they are white supremacists there.

6. I used to live in Frederick

Although predominantly Republican, there was also a solid opposition there against the Klan back in the '80s/'90s.

I hope that opposition is as solid as it was then.

I also remember during the election of '96, a local TV station aired a long block of informercials for "The Clinton Chronicles," too, so who knows?
