Halliburton wins Eni contract in Iraq (worth multimillions of dollars)

* Second Iraq job announced by Halliburton this month

NEW YORK Aug 31 (Reuters) - Halliburton (HAL.N), the No. 2 oilfield services group, said on Tuesday it had won a contract from Italian oil company Eni (ENI.MI) to help develop 20 oil wells in the Zubair field in southern Iraq.

Oil producers and oilfield services companies, including Halliburton peer Schlumberger Ltd (SLB.N), are ramping up operations in Iraq, which is hoping to use its vast oil resources to rebuild the country.

...

Earlier this month, Halliburton said it had been awarded a letter of intent to work with a Shell-led (RDSa.L) consortium developing the Majnoon field in southern Iraq, one of the world's largest oilfields.

"Halliburton has made a strategic investment in our Iraqi infrastructure and the award of this contract, coupled with the recent letter of intent awarded by Shell and its partners, demonstrates that we have the technology and people in place to deliver in Iraq," Halliburton Chairman and CEO David Lesar said in a statement. 2. Yes I am Surprised!
Last time I checked Cheney is not in power, Obama is.

It's important to remember that whenever the media talks about the Afghani Govt. or the Iraqi Govt., it's important to understand that they are in fact talking about the American Govt.

As there is no sovereign govt. in neither country, they are puppet govts.
Washington says jump Karzai asks how high.

It's quite a web of corruption.

Connect the dots.

Obama has no say in this what so ever.
This is a multi national cabal who laugh at Obama
and the rest of us still believing we have ANY say
about what goes on in THEIR world.

Cheney has been operating in Azerbaijan for DECADES.
His secret energy task force meetings were ALL about
the plan to proceed and assure the pipelines were
secured to benefit the invisible PTB.

3. Who would have guessed.
We fought this war for Halliburton's profits and Halliburton has won. I only hope I live to see even their desks sold at auction.

10. Yep
The nicest thing I got called by the local paper was "naive" when the Oregonian surveyed the massive war protest in Portland and spotted the sign that said "No blood for oil." The Big O's editorial board has since decided that the Iraq invasion and occupation weren't quite as keen as they thought it would be back in 2003, but they've never apologized to the protestors, never acknowledged their own error in cheerleading the illegal invasion, and never thought the Bush administration should be held accountable for their crimes.

11. The world seems upside down, doesn't it?
I know what my sons are learning from this.
And, in time, their sons.

How can respect for the government exist any longer?
Was that the plan?

7. Why is Obama giving money to Cheney?
Yes, I know it's not that simple, but in a way it is. Halliburton is a hardcore rethuglican, evil to its corporate bones company. Yet we have a democratic administration giving a multi-billion dollar contract to said company.

Combine this with the recent Supreme Court decision where corporations can give unlimited campaign donations, and you have the perverse result of the democratic administration giving money to the Rethuglican Party!!!!

Can we be so fucking stupid?!?! Apparently so.
