Blair: Bush world view had 'immense simplicity'
Source: CNN

London, England (CNN) -- Former U.S. President George W. Bush was a "true idealist" who displayed "genuine integrity and political courage," former British prime minister Tony Blair reveals in his memoirs.

Detailing the close professional and personal relationship which developed between the two leaders in the wake of the 2001 terror attacks in the U.S. and during the build-up to the Iraq war in 2003, Blair writes that Bush was "very smart" while having "immense simplicity in how he saw the world."

And in other news, Blair is still George Bush's lap dog.

1. And Tony was taking notes.
The man is seriously tarnished in Britian now, from what I understand. Good luck with the book tour and image revision, Tony.

6. And exactly how much intellectual complexity does it take to publicly pretend 'believe' and trust
a simpleton, Blair? He knew from the start it was nothing about freedom, WMD, mushroom clouds or anything else, the Downing Street memos prove it. Perfectly agreeable to the plans for the ME urged by Cheney and the Others (PNAC'ers), knowing he'd profit from the horror ..... or being a poodle to Bush ........ not very good choices, he sounds like an ass trying to explain anything about his own role in it. Sorry Blair, FAIL. Nobody believed you then, nobody does now.

17. Junior was "smart" in terms his clothing and his (mean spirited) wit
But he was certainly not smart in terms of intelligence. A dull, mean man dressed in smart, fashionable clothes- that's Junior.

11. OMG.
"Immense simplicity"

WOW... The world is anything but simple. The immense complexity of our world affairs boggles my mind every time I think about it. Millions of conflicting ideas and ideals added to the geopolitics of energy sources with a nice little dose of irrational nationalism and all of these compounded by the vagaries of human mind and ego.

The complexity of the world terrifies them, assuming they can perceive it.

You are not very smart are you? What else did you expect from a simpleton but "immense simplicity"?

Unfortunately for us, that's precisely what the problem with Bush's world view was.
