Palin-Beck 9/11 event draws fans, foes

By RACHEL D'ORO

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- An event featuring former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and conservative commentator Glenn Beck on Saturday night is likely to bring out two very different crowds.

Thousands of fans who paid between $73.75 and $225 for tickets will gather inside the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center to see Beck introduced by Palin, the 2008 vice presidential nominee and a potential 2012 presidential candidate. The two are tea party favorites.

Outside the downtown center, critics plan to protest and wave signs denouncing Palin and Beck as intolerant fearmongers spreading divisiveness across the country. As many as 200 protesters are expected to show up, said one of the organizers, Lynette Moreno-Hinz, an Alaska Native.

"We feel that they are inciting racism in what they do and what they say and how they go about it," she said.

4. I said the same about Dumbya...
I figured there was no way he could win! Well... I was right, but we still had that turd in the WH for 8 years.

I do believe at this point, there are enough dumbasses out there to actually elect Caribou Barbie.

Don't believe me? Watch the first 5 minutes of the video "Ideocracy".

I don't think I could take it and I'm simply unable to tune out. I've tried, but I just can't.

6. I agree with you..
the people who are thinking she can't win are flat out wrong as it matters not what she says or does to the unwashed right. Facts and Reality are no longer required of their candidates and just like you say about bu$h, all it has to be is close. Afraid, god-damn right I am afraid of the bitch.

Those in power....left or right.... are not gonna let her near real power. She doesn't play along like Dubya. Planes crash a lot in Alaska.

10. Hell, she never even held one press conference while she was McCain's running mate
Did she ever get called on it? No, not once. She's right to call it the "lame stream" media. They should have pilloried her over it. But, no, she got a free pass. I never even heard a timid squeak from any of the talking heads, never heard one say, "But, she's never given a full-court press conference without McCain there to hold her hand." Face it, McSame and Palin were ahead in the polls until the last two months or so when the economy collapsed. If that hadn't happened and McCain hadn't made those gaffes about it, he and Nazi Barbie might be in office now. And I agree, I never believed Bush would be elected to office either. Just you wait until the first debate, I said smugly. It'll be a bloodbath. It sure was. The media wouldn't quit about Al Gore's sighing and "wooden" demeanor during the debates. They steered the conversation totally away from Bush's imbecilic ramblings and deer-in-the-headlights twitching.
