Md. Judge: Military Contractors Can Be Sued

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A federal judge says military contractors can be sued by soldiers and others who allege they were harmed by improper waste disposal while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

U.S. District Judge Roger W. Titus ruled last week in Maryland that military contractors including Halliburton Co. must face lawsuits alleging the soldiers were exposed to toxic emissions and contaminated water when they burned waste in open pits.

1. That is good. They want to be privatized then they are open to being
sued. Only fair.

2. good, maybe some soldiers can get compense for injury and illness inflicted by them
such as burning toxic shit in open pits by the ton. Exposure levels to substances that would have made the EPA and OSHA declare war on the company spewing that shit into the air. Hope someone makes them pay through the teeth.

3. I hope this is time to get some money for a friend , he is dying of brain ...
cancer and was around the burn pits in Iraq. (among other things)
