Money matters follow Rubio
Source: Sarasota Herald-Tribune

Marco Rubio took the stage in front of 2,000 cheering supporters in Sarasota earlier this month and delivered a stark warning: Government debt is destroying America.

"Government cannot continue to spend more money than it takes in!" exhorted the Republican U.S. Senate candidate. The crowd roared.

For 16 months, Rubio has carried this message of fiscal responsibility to great applause across Florida.

What Rubio does not tell the crowds is that he has gone deep into debt and struggled to make his payments, with Deutsche Bank initiating foreclosure proceedings on one of his homes in June.

Another Republican poster boy for fiscal responsibility.

5. Tell that to the Democratic party. They're the ones with the choice.
It's Rubio or Crist. If Meek stays in the race, Rubio wins. If Meek drops out, Crist has a good chance.

The one guy that doesn't have a shot in hell is Meek.

6. Unfortunately we aren't going to listen and we'll continue
this farce with Meek and Crist splitting the Progressive vote and this charlatan will be one of the rising young stars of the Rethugs.

2. so he wants to be responsible for Florida's budget
and he can't even keep his own damn house out of foreclosure? Why does his wife need two houses? You can only live in one at a time.

4. Rubio is of the party that left us a $1.3 trillion deficit, and created only 3 million jobs over
8 years WITH the tax cuts for the wealthy in place. The party that supported the deregulation that got us into this mess. They destroyed this economy, losing a quarter to half of the jobs they created during their last 7 months in office (1,750,000). When Clinton, with the tax rates at the normal rate, left a $236 billion surplus (taxes taken in minus government spending) and created 22 million jobs over his 8 years. No president since Andrew Jackson has ever paid off the government debt owed to other countries, etc. Rubio is just another bullshit artist. And God forbid we put ANOTHER one of those that can't even keep his own finances in line be in charge of anything in this state or country.

EVERY democrat, EVERY progressive, EVERY liberal, EVERY person with any common sense MUST vote on November 2,2010 or be very afraid of what their futures will NOT bring. Get ready to starve! Say good-bye to social security, medicare, medicaid, veterans benefits, unemployment, you name it. It'll be gone under some bullshit precept.

And regardless of what Rubio says, if you are Latino, black, of any minority, a woman, middle-class or poverty stricken, elderly, ill, autistic, gay, lesbian, transgendered, a veteran, peace-loving, for equality and justice for everyone, care about your fellow man, care about the environment, believe in charitable giving...then letting the republicans regain power IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT FOR YOUR COUNTRY!

And the only way this can happen is if you do not vote. Let's keep these crazies, racists, bigots, liars, kooks, freaks, fanatical extremists, un-Christlike fake Christians, illiterates, and flakes from controlling our very existence! Wake up, America!

7. Your conclusion doesn't follow from your premise
Voting isn't enough. A rudimentary level of competence from our political party is also necessary. The way is stands now, even if we have a record turnout from progressives, Rubio will still win.

The Democratic party anointed a weak candidate for this job. Perhaps they thought his law enforcement background, NASCAR advertising, and criticism of Obama would entice republicans. But appealing to democrats didn't seem very high on the agenda. Yet despite their pathetic performance, the democratic party was given a reprieve in the form of republican infighting and the emergence of Charlie Crist as a viable independent.

The ball is in the hands of the democratic party, not the voters. Drop Meek and we have a chance of avoiding Rubio.
