Hundreds Protest FBI Raids An Anti-War Activists
Source: Associated Press

By STEVE KARNOWSKI
Associated Press Writer

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Protesters gathered outside FBI offices in Minneapolis and Chicago, bearing signs and shouting chants condemning the agency's searches of anti-war activists in both cities.

About 150 people protested in Minneapolis on Monday, holding signs reading: "Stop FBI harassment. Opposing war is not a crime." Roughly 120 people marched in Chicago.

Search warrants had indicated investigators were looking for connections between the anti-war activists and radical groups in Colombia and the Middle East.

1. That is good to see. I hope more people will organize
demonstrations to put a stop to this government harrassment of citizens exercising their rights. And maybe the ACLU can sue the FBI on behalf of the victims of their radical behavior.

8. That is great. These bureaucrats always forget who they work
for. Who pays their salaries and I'm glad that people are letting them know just how outrageous their behavior is.

4. The FBI is not radical since it does not get to the root. It is reactionary.

5. My take this morning...in a letter to my gongresscritter...

It's at times like this that I seriously question the wisdom of remaining in the belly of the beast tying to "reform" it.

I have been on the losing side of this battle since I resigned from the Navy in 1964 in no small part because of a desire NOT to drop napalm on innocent Vietnamese folks.

Back in the day, I've been a target of CoIntelPro. Then I mistakenly thought that after the Nixon resignation, the Church Hearings and the subsequent reigning in of the CIA/FBI, etc that we were a little bit safer.

Silly me.

The "anti-terrorism and effective death penalty act of 1996" (Slick Willy), the bush false flag operation of 9/11/01 followed by the misnamed "patriot act" and the BUSH III administration of Barack Obama have taken care of those brief curbs on Federal power.

Today, we have the codependent republicrats and democans in the White House, Senate and House reviving "CoIntelPro on steroids(tm)" to wage the GWT "Global War on Terra(tm)" in the homes of Peace Activists.

I have personal experience with at least a half dozen better places to live out my remaining years on this Earth. And I have knowledge of at least a dozen more where a human being can live out one's life in relative peace and dignity.

What the FUCK am I doing staying here?

7. Can't disagree with anything you said. Maybe
it's all gone too far to try to save this democracy. I don't know, but the thought does occur to me. Otoh, maybe this is just a period of time, growing pains of a relatively new country. After all it took European nations decades before they finally had enough of war and destruction.

Good letter. I hope he responds, but they don't seem to have time for their constituents unless they have bags of money to offer them, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

detailing all the wonderful military pork she's getting for our town and how we must make sure the military gets all it wants.

She's a blue-dog, war chickenhawk of the WORST sort -- a republican who re-registered democrat in her slightly "republican leaning" disctrict because she couldn't get past the bat-crap crazy right-wing republican primaries (because she's allegedly "pro-choice" although you couldn't tell it from her voting record)...

Gabby Giffords -- among the worst of the worst...

(by 3 lousy blocks -- SOB!)
