Angle urges Nevada candidate to pull out, criticizes Republicans

Nevada GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle urged third party candidate Scott Ashjia to pull out of the race at a meeting last week, saying his campaign could result in re-election for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, according to an audio tape of the meeting recorded by Ashjia.

During the session, she offered Ashjian access to several Republican Senators and "whatever juice I have" to help persuade him.

"Anything I can deliver personally I am glad to," Angle told Ashjian,who is running as a Tea Party candidate, during the Wednesday night meeting.

Angle said she and Ashjian share the same views of why the current political system is broken, but told him the best way for her to achieve her goals was to run as a Republican.

just announced that the Review Journal is endorsing Angle. This is the paper that carried Coulter pieces of shite, surprise, surprise on the endorsement. We once had a competing paper, the Las Vegas Sun, but it's been melded into the RJ-just a section. I believe this happened after Greenspan died and his son took over the Sun. I wouldn't subscribe to the rag, but my in-laws do because it's the only paper in town.

My dad, back when I was in highschool told me that the RJ was more repug than anything. I disagreed with him at the time, stating that they were giving positive output on the democratic challenger. He told me to wait and see, that the paper wanted that challenger against the repug. Sure enough, after the primary, the RJ endorsed the repug. Daddy was right!!!!

I just cannot believe some of the people in this state, they'd vote for Hitler if he had an "R" by his name. I mean this is a woman, that allegedly back in the nineties made a stink over a school changing the color of their uniforms to black--with the argument that black is an evil color. This is a woman who wants to "personalize" social security or in other words "enronize" our retirement so Wall Street can get more money into their hands. This is a woman who wants to do away with the Department of Education, and probably every federal regulatory agency that is supposed to protect us, our food and water from corporate sociopathic greedheads. This is a woman that wants to privatize the VA, I mean, the corporations have served our soldiers so well in Iraq with tainted water (twice) and unsafe food and shocking showers. Not to mention all of our money they got to rebuild Iraq with some substandard schools, sewage plants and prisons.
