Colorado residents attending CSU could pay 20 percent more annually under plan
Source: The Coloradoan

A proposal by CSU to offset state budget cuts could force fulltime Colorado resident students to pay 20 percent more annually for their education, and possibly even more if they're studying in certain lab-intensive disciplines such as engineering.

The two increases are contained in a "fiscal accountability plan" that Colorado State University officials filed late last week but not made public until today.

1. They upped fees in 1998-99, with no public
notice. I led a march on the Administration building, it made no difference. I SO enjoyed my time there (I was approacing 50) but I also wanted kids to participate! did not happen...only my tried and true classmates. Most were trust-fund babies...what did they care about?

While CSU holds a special part in my heart...their financial antics break my heart!

2. I was lucky to have gone there when their costs were truly reasonable.
My parents puut my sister and I through excellent universities and we both got professional degrees - these days they wouldn't be able to afford to do that - tuition costs have far outpaced salary growth.

3. UCCS Student
I wonder if it's the entire CSU system, or just the schools designated as "CSU." I am a student at UCCS (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs), (very rarely referred to as CU Colorado Springs) Our state and municipalities here in Colorado have no idea what to cut. They always cut the important things first and then blow money on rubbish like drug enforcement. At least Denver PD and Boulder PD have for the most part stopped wasting resources on this rubbish.

4. Remember
Every time this shit happens as our infrastructure crumbles it needs to be said why.

When wars are started for lies to benefit the agenda of a very few and there is no accountability and the rape continued for years more.

I guess people like it like this cuz they remain silent.

There are many rich kids who attend so daddy barely notices.

What a bunch of bull shit but our country loves war way too much to give it up.
