Presidential Seal Falls During Obama Speech At Fortune Magazine 'Most Powerful Women Summit'
Source: CNN/Huffington Post

Men aren't usually invited to speak at Fortune Magazine's Most Powerful Women Summits, but Time Inc. CEO Ann Moore said that President Barack Obama had "earned this podium" on Tuesday, considering his Cabinet and Supreme Court appointments.

Minutes later, things were falling apart at that podium.

While speaking to hundreds of guests, the Presidential Seal came crashing down in front of Obama. According to White House pool reporter Chuck Lewis, he was able to laugh it off:

snip...

Obama stopped his prepared remarks, peered over the front of the rostrum, laughed and said, "That's OK, I think everyone here knows who I am."

4. 'Most Powerful Women Summit'
This brings up something that I have wondered about- why are the League of Women Voters no longer conducting presidential debates? Oh, I know- they ask tough questions.

12. The LWV is not conducting debates because:
They got sick and tired of the impossible demands and refusal to cooperate attitudes of the respective campaign staffs. The LWV did not have the power to just say "This is how it is going to be."

10. He made me laugh
Say what you may, he can think on his feet and get a good laugh when he wants to without a whole lot of effort. I admire anyone who can make me laugh by using genuine wit. To me it's a sign of high intelligence.

14. Slow news day? A podium malfunction gets more coverage than wars where our troops are dying.
Peter Zenger must spin in his grave on a daily basis.
