I just received this press release from the Bill White campaign. More context to come very soon...

White calls for investigation into Perry public corruption scandal

Preeminent Texas criminal defense lawyer Dick DeGuerin weighs in

HOUSTON -- Bill White called for an immediate state and federal investigation, and one of the nation's preeminent criminal defense lawyers weighed in today as Rick Perry stonewalls questions about the public corruption scandal.

Perry handed out $16 million in taxpayer dollars from a high tech fund to companies tied to his top political contributors.

"This is the kind of thing a Public Integrity Unit ought to investigate. If the fundraisers promised or suggested that grants would go to political donors and then that happened, that's criminal, plain and simple," said Dick DeGuerin.

DeGuerin has defended Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and Representative Tom DeLay and was recently named one of the 25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century.

3. Good news for us in Texas!!!!! Yea..........
I didn't even know about this crookedness. I was hoping the investigation into his scuttling of the investigation into the man who was executed based on faulty data would do him in, but it looks like that is going to take forever.

6. talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Someone once said it takes a crook to catch a crook. In this case, it takes a crook to know a crook.

7. 52% of Texans
think Texas is headed in the right direction, without realizing that it means Texas would be slightly ahead of Mississippi. Unless Governor "good hair" Perry gets indicted between now and election day, he is probably a shoo-in.

9. well well well. it seems as if cement head perry's past has finally caught up to him..
anyone here in Austin that pays attention to the goings on at the govs mansion, is well aware of the old saying tied to cement head, it goes something like this, "you want a job? give perry money".

I hope they publicly humiliate that dumb bastard.

Turn Texas Blue!

It is very good topic for discussion. In my opinion i think that We need to have the opportunity to Pergojevich deal with his concerns. Poor man, he might develop a complex, if we do not enter the private sector as soon as possible to him.
