Paladino to make TV address in NY governor's race

ALBANY, N.Y. — Republican Carl Paladino is buying three minutes of airtime on TV stations statewide as polls show his support plummeting in the race for governor against Democrat Andrew Cuomo.

The statewide address is planned to begin at 5:13 p.m. Thursday, with some broadcasts starting later.

Paladino's campaign says there will be a major announcement, but won't divulge the content.

The Cuomo campaign has already drafted a response, which somebody read on the Albany ABC affiliate. He mainly said that Carl "lacks substance" and that Albany is already "dysfunctional" enough without him...
