Lawyer: 9/11 Panel Lacks Clinton Records
(Why won't Bushco release the proof that the Clinton Administration was doing its job?)

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=536&e=3&u=/ap/20040401/ap_on_go_pr_wh/sept_11_commission_clinton

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks isn't getting a full picture of former President Clinton's terrorism policies because the Bush administration won't forward all of Clinton's records to the panel, a lawyer said.

Bruce Lindsey, Clinton's legal representative for records and a longtime confidant of the former president, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that only about 25 percent of nearly 11,000 pages have been turned over.

"I don't want (the commission) drawing the conclusion the Clinton administration didn't do X or Y and then there be a document that contradicts that and they didn't have access to that document because the current administration decided not to forward it to them," Lindsey said.

8. This points out how f*cked up Bush's EO on past records is
Bush signed an Executive Order shortly after he got into office that said: The records of a presidential administration cannot be released unless both the past administration (who's records they are) AND the current administration in power agree they should be released. This would apply for a period of at least 12 years after a previous administration left office. He also revoked Reagan's far more open (believe it or not) EO on releasing Presidential records.

In other words, while Bill Clinton might want to release his presidential records, the Bush administration can prevent him from doing so. In addition, unless this EO is reversed/revoked, the future Kerry administration will not have any say over the status of the Bush administration's records.

This is the tool that Bush has used to seal his father's presidential records, which of course, contain a lot of information regarding many members of the current Bush administration.

Obviously, this Executive Order needs to be gone in a future Kerry administration.

Here's a link to the Executive Order:

Here's a link to a bill to revoke this EO:

You would think that with all of the attention their obvious coverup is getting, they would have SOME shame about pulling a stunt like this. Now, they don't even want us to know just how much work Pres. Clinton did compared to their complete inattention to the issue. It really scares me that this Admin is in charge of all those documents. I just hope someone spills the beans when they start falsifying them.
