Source: Miama Herald

Junior Seau drove his SUV off a cliff in Carlsbad, Calif., on Monday, just hours after being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence toward his live-in girlfriend, reports KGTV-TV in San Diego.

The former NFL linebacker, 41, was reportedly released from the Vista Detention Facility at approximately 2 a.m. Shortly after, Seau then drove his Cadillac over the cliff.

Carlsbad police responded to a 911 call of a single vehicle off the road. Seau's car was found on the beach 30 feet below the roadside. After being rescued, the athlete was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, Calif.

Police said Seau was conscious and and remains hospitalized with minor injuries.

1. Wait a minute. Isn't there a spoof story about all sorts of people
going over a cliff. There was one about Tony Danza just a week or so ago.

Is this life imitating art?

4. I remember seeing Seau when I was watching bullriding
He was doing his "sports jobs" show (which was a pretty good show) and they were filming an episode about rodeo clowns. So, some local bullriding commentator got to break the story that he was going back to the Pats. But anyways, what I remember most is watching him do the rodeo clown work, and noticing he was bigger than the bull.

5. He should have been arrested....
....for stealing all that money from the Dolphins when he played there. Always the league leader in celebrating tackles and sacks he had nothing to do with.
